Vessel Sharing
Peterson SBS initiates and manages vessel-sharing arrangements between operators.
The aim of these arrangements is to provide an efficient pool of supply vessels and (shared) supply bases for the operations of its partners. The partners - operators and Peterson SBS - in such pool scenarios jointly develop uniform standard terms and conditions for the planning and delivery of material, as well as uniform safety procedures for quayside and offshore operations. As a result, all concerned are able to work more efficiently, and therefore more profitably.
Pool Software
Besides providing storage and dock facilities, Peterson SBS is also charters supply vessels, allocates these to roundtrips and plans the specific routing for each roundtrip. To cope with this extremely complex planning process, Peterson SBS has developed special pool software. In addition to the planning itself, the software calculates each partner's share of the expenses, taking into account variable factors such as cargo capacity actually used and vessel handling time per offshore installation.
Online Information
The pool partners can access management information through the internet and up-to-date information on vessels’ routes, ETAs and cargoes is available to offshore installations at any time. Users log in through secure, password protected gateways and have access to information relevant to themselves only.
